שמי ד״ר שלמה בלאק. אני מומחה וד״ר לפסיכולוגיה חינוכית, מתמחה בציבור החרדי. הקליניקות שלי בירושלים ובבני ברק פתוחות להורים, למתבגרים, ולבוגרים צעירים — בעיקר מהחברה החרדית, אך לא רק. במקביל אני שותף במחקרים במכון המחקר ערבותרה, באוניברסיטה העברית, באוניברסיטת אוסלו, ובמכון למחקרי ביטחון לאומי. My name is Dr. Shlomo Black. I am an expert and Ph.D in Educational Psychology, specializing in the Haredi community. My clinics in Jerusalem and Bnei Brak are open to parents, teens, and young adults — primarily, but not exclusively, from the Haredi world. In parallel, I take part in research at the Arvutera research institute, Hebrew University, the University of Oslo, and the Institute for National Security Studies.

גדלתי בעולם החרדי. למדתי בחיידר ובכפר הנוער דרכי שלום, המשכתי לישיבת ״ברכת יצחק״ באור יהודה, ובהמשך הצטרפתי לרשת ״עטרת שלמה״ כאברך כולל. בחרתי ללמוד פסיכולוגיה כדי לסייע לאנשים בקהילה ומחוצה לה. I grew up in the Haredi world. I studied in cheder and at the Darkei Shalom youth village, continued to Birkat Yitzhak Yeshiva in Or Yehuda, and later joined the Ateret Shlomo network as a kollel scholar. I chose to study psychology in order to help people inside and outside the community.

את לימודי הפסיכולוגיה התחלתי באוניברסיטה הפתוחה (תואר ראשון, בהצטיינות), והמשכתי לתואר שני בפסיכולוגיה קלינית-חינוכית של הילד באוניברסיטה העברית. לאורך השנים שילבתי בין הכשרה מעשית למחקר: עשיתי התמחות בפסיכולוגיה חינוכית במודיעין עלית (שם זכיתי באות עובד מצטיין), כתבתי דוקטורט בהנחיית פרופ׳ גבריאל הורנצ׳יק, ובמקביל פרסמתי מאמרים והשלמתי פוסט-דוקטורט באוסלו אצל פרופ׳ יונאס ר. קונסט. את התמונה המלאה אפשר לראות למטה, בפירוט ההשכלה וההכשרה. I began my psychology studies at the Open University (BA, with honors) and continued to an MA in Clinical-Educational Child Psychology at Hebrew University. Over the years I combined hands-on training with research: a specialization in Educational Psychology in Modi'in Illit (where I was named Employee of the Year), a doctorate under Prof. Gabriel Horenczyk, and — in parallel — published papers and a post-doctorate at Oslo under Prof. Jonas R. פעילות מחקריתResearch

המחקר שלי מתמקד בסכסוכים בין זהויות וקבוצות — אקולטורציה (תִּרְבּוּת), שילוב זהויות, חוסן וצמיחה פוסט-טראומטית קהילתית, ומפגש בין שיח טיפולי מערבי לבין מערכת ערכים תורנית. מאמריי פורסמו בכתבי עת מובילים (ראו פירוט בהמשך), ואני עמית של קרן ISEF וחבר ב-IAIR. My research focuses on conflicts between identities and groups — acculturation, identity integration, community resilience and post-traumatic growth, and the encounter between Western clinical discourse and a Torah value system. My articles have appeared in leading journals (see details below). I am an ISEF Fellow and a member of IAIR.

הגישה הקליניתClinical approach

בקליניקה אני עובד בגישה משלבת: אני בוחר מתוך מגוון שיטות טיפול מוכרות את מה שמתאים לאדם ולמצב, ולא נצמד לאסכולה אחת. לעיתים נסתכל יחד על מערכת המשפחה כולה; לעיתים נעבוד על דפוסי מחשבה והתנהגות; ולעיתים נקשיב לסיפור החיים ולמשמעות שלו. המשותף לכולם: אני מחפש יחד עם הנועץ את הכוחות שכבר נמצאים בו, ומלווה אותו בדרך שבה הוא רואה את עולמו. In the clinic I work in an integrative way: I draw on a range of well-established therapeutic methods and choose what fits the person and the situation, rather than sticking to a single school. Sometimes we look together at the family as a whole; sometimes we work on patterns of thought and behavior; and sometimes we listen to a person's life story and its meaning. What they share: I search, together with the client, for the strengths already within them, and accompany them along the path they see for themselves.

העיקרון המנחה: ההורה הוא המומחה להורות שלו. האדם הוא המומחה לעצמו. אני נמצא בחדר כדי לעזור לחפש ולמצוא — לא כדי לקבוע. The guiding principle: the parent is the expert on their parenting. The person is the expert on themselves. I'm in the room to help search and find — not to dictate.

שותפות עם הרבPartnership with the rabbi

כשמדובר בנועץ דתי, ועולה שאלה דתית או הלכתית, אני מעודד את הנועץ להתייעץ עם הרב המוכר לו, ולעיתים מצטרף לפגישה משותפת. בעיניי, סביבת הנועץ — ובתוכה הרב — הם שותפים לדרך, ולא מתחרים. זוהי המשמעות המעשית של רגישות תרבותית: מעבר לשפה, מדובר בשילוב פעיל של המבנים החברתיים הקיימים בתהליך הייעוץ. When the client is religious and a religious or halakhic question arises, I encourage them to consult their own rabbi, and at times I join a joint meeting. In my view, the client's environment — including the rabbi — are partners in the work, not competitors. This is what cultural sensitivity means in practice: beyond language, it is the active integration of the client's existing social structures into the counseling process.
